The new expanded and remodeledkitchen allows one to indulge in gourmet cooking.
The apartment has a 13 foot sloped ceiling providing large vertical space and a clerestory window in the living room.
The original, operating accordian wall separates the living room from the bedroom.
The bedroom is furnished with a king-sized Case Study bed outfitted with all white 100% cotton linens, a European duvet and king size pillows. Of course, the duvet covers are washed after each stay so they are fresh for you. Black out drapes guarantee a restful night sleep with complete privacy.
The bedroom opens to private patio accessed through expansive 12 foot sliding doors with screens. Enjoy lemons from your own lemon tree on the patio. The patio provides furniture for an intimate dining setting.
The bathroom design features a walk-in showerwith a 5 foot sliding glass door that opens on to the private back patio.

The Desert Star #6
A friend recommended The Desert Star and I'm so glad she did. We just spent four nights there and it was absolutely perfect. The suites are large, high-ceilinged and tastefully appointed with mid-century-style furnishings, a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and many thoughtful touches - from the book the hosts put together with recommendations on local restaurants and other amenities to the robes for guests to use. The decor was lovely and the king-sized bed was very comfy. The suites face a wonderful warm saltwater pool flanked by palm trees, with incredible views of the San Jacinto mountains, and the poolside fireplace is a lovely place to enjoy an evening glass of wine. The private deck off the back of our suite was also a nice place to relax. The property is spotless and located just a few minutes drive from downtown, close to everything but wonderfully quiet and tranquil (thanks to the no-kids policy). With just six units, the pool was never overly busy, and at times I even had it to myself. We also met the gracious hosts, Richard and Debra, as well as one of the owners. They were all so friendly and helpful, and even gave us some great recommendations on places for dinner. We absolutely LOVED the Desert Star. I hope to return to Palm Springs soon, and this is the place I would want to stay.
The Desert Star #6
This place is fantastic. The hosts are very very responsive if you have any questions. You have a dedicated parking spot right out front. Check in is super easy and secure with keyless entry. The unit is beautiful and very well decorated with lots of great art. The pool is nice and right outside your door and the unit provides pool towels. There were no other guests at in any of the other units so we had the place to ourselves. This unit has a small private patio and grill. Its worth noting that the shower is open in the bathroom with a privacy curtain, unique and more like european bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped although we did not use it very much. Overall 5 stars all around!

The Desert Star was super clean and fit the vibe of Palm Springs so well! We really enjoyed ourselves and felt very comfortable and impressed with the Desert Star. Thanks for the stay!
